Liang Yi Vegetarian Rice Dumplings (粽子) Cooking & Storage Guide

Celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival with Liang Yi's traditional, heritage-recipe plant-based rice dumplings. Crafted with love, packed with savory mock meats, mushrooms, and chestnuts, and entirely preservative-free. Below are the official preparation methods and storage guidelines to ensure you enjoy them at their absolute best.

Cooking & Heating Instructions (食用法)

For best results, please ensure the rice dumplings are fully thawed before heating.

1. Steaming (蒸锅)

  • Prep: Fully thaw the rice dumplings.

  • Method: Bring water to a rolling boil in your steamer. Once boiling, place the dumplings on the steaming rack.

  • Time: Steam over boiling water for 20 minutes.

  • Serving: Remove, let cool slightly to allow the glutinous rice to firm up, and enjoy!

2. Boiling (水煮)

  • Prep: Fully thaw the rice dumplings.

  • Method: Submerge the dumplings completely in a pot of boiling water.

  • Time: Keep boiling for 18 to 20 minutes.

  • Serving: Carefully remove from water, drain thoroughly, let cool slightly, and enjoy!

3. Microwave (微波炉)

  • Prep: Fully thaw the rice dumplings and remove any outer plastic packaging (keep the leaf wrapping intact).

  • Method: Place the dumpling in a microwave-safe container. Sprinkle a small amount of water over the leaves to prevent them from drying out.

  • Time: Microwave on medium-high power for 3 to 5 minutes.

  • Serving: Let cool slightly and enjoy!

Shelf Life & Storage Instructions (保质期)

Our rice dumplings contain zero artificial preservatives.

To experience the best texture and flavor, we highly recommend consuming them on the day of purchase. If you need to store them, please follow these guidelines:

  • Frozen (Freezer): Keep frozen for up to 1 month.
